Armstrong has also become a leading advocate in the fight against cancer. Armstrong founded The Lance Armstrong Foundation after his diagnosis. The LAF became LIVESTRONG and to date, it has raised more than $500 million for the fight against cancer, and has distributed more than 87 million yellow wristbands. He has five children and splits his time between Austin,Texas and Aspen, Colorado.
